Letter No 4: Sarah Bramble to Miss Elizabeth Peart

London, January 31st, 1826

Elizabeth,

I am authorized by my Brother, Phillip Bramble, to write to you to know how you and the little Boy is. I am sorry to say that my Brother is dangerous ill with a violent influxiation on the chest so that I am expecting him to breath(e) his last every Moment.

And he is very anxious about you and the Baby so if you will send word by Return of Post how you and the Baby is Circumstanced. If it lays in my Brother’s Power, he will send you something. Be so good as to write directly as he wishes to know how you and the Baby is.
