Our Historical Society  Visit to a Local Village 
was on Saturday 20th July visiting Bromham with a conducted tour of the church and the village.   Details of the 2014 Visit will appear here shortly.
 

Visit Purton Historical Society's special website dedicated to the Bicentenary Celebrations for Nevil Maskelyne (1732 - 1811).  The 5th Astronomer Royal had Purton connections and was buried in St Mary's Church graveyard.

Coach Outing

Outline of Collection
Purton Museum has a collection which represents 2,000 years of the village’s history from the Ringsbury Camp Iron Age Hillfort, through Roman and Saxon finds towards the present day.
